The Gift Of Life Transplant House (http://www.gift-of-life.org/), located in Rochester, MN, offers a very affordable and high-quality housing solution for patients undergoing a solid organ or bone marrow transplant at the Mayo Clinic (http://www.mayoclinic.org/).

In order to accommodate more patients and reduce the wait that is sometimes necessary before there is an open room, a second house was built and opened in 2009 (http://www.gift-of-life.org/expansion.asp). All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Gift of Life Transplant House.

Route

The unique out and back course starts behind the new Gift of Life Transplant House on the south side of 2nd St (at 7th Ave SW). Runners and walkers will then head south primarily on 7th Ave to the bike trail along the West side of the river before turning around and coming back. 2.5K participants will turn around at 11th St.

Gary Westlund (of Charities Challenge) will be announcing at the start/finish line to make the event enjoyable for all! Josh Gerber (of Wayzata Results) will be on hand to time the event and provide online results shortly after the race ends.

Given the out and back course, you'll pass the water stop twice, and Brueggers bagels as well as other food and drink will be waiting for you at the finish line!
